Aravinda and Mason’s day was a wedding photographer’s dream. Their Germania Place wedding and reception was so elegant, with the most gorgeous decor – candles and crystals everywhere! It was so fun! They brought this multi-cultural day together with two beautiful ceremonies, one Hindu and one Jewish.
Their portrait session was one of those perfect bits of luck. It had been storming on and off all day, and we were prepared to make use of the architectural elements at their venue to stay indoors for their short couple’s session. But there was a break in the storm and some lovely natural light just at the right time, and these two braved the wind for their couple’s portrait session in the south end of Lincoln Park! We had less than half an hour with just the bride and groom, and their portraits are some of my favorites.
And more important than all these details, the couple and their families were truly the sweetest. In the midst of such an elegant wedding, Aravnida and Mason were both so down-to-earth, relaxed, and happy. Their joy that day comes through so clearly in the photos, and I love seeing how they basically spent the whole day laughing together.
